Gladiator Sports is the specialist when it comes to paintball and everything that comes with it. They have been a customer of Vicus since 2015. To further grow their business they started a webshop. This was first built within the environment of osCommerce. Looking for a better alternative they then ended up with Vicus in 2015. We have set up the Magento 1 platform for Gladiator Sports.
Bringing back loyalty points
Vicus has been supporting Magento since 2007. Magento is optimized for search engines and has a professional catalog management and associated tools, so you can easily manage products. This is ideal for a company like Gladiator Sports. They have a wide range of products that can be well maintained in this way. For the design we looked together at the most ideal template.
Gladiator Sports works with a loyalty points system. It was clear that this had to be transferred to the Magento environment. Vicus has ensured that the accumulated points from the old system were transferred to the Magento environment. Here was a small piece of customization needed.
Familiar functions
The Magento 1 environment works easier for Gladiator Sports than the previous environment. However, Magento 1 is no longer supported by the parent company. Vicus still provides this service as long as security can be guaranteed. At a later stage a switch to Magento 2 can be considered.
The installation of various plug-ins has added options. For example, you can see in the front-end whether a product is in stock or not. And again, Gladiator Sports customers can build up and spend loyalty points.
