Within a few weeks, the first version of the Magento-2 webshop was up and running, including interfacing with King business software.
Quickly link a webshop
Van den Berg Holding is a company that specializes in parts for minicars. Vicus has been commissioned to realize a webshop under the name minicar-parts.nl as soon as possible. This webshop must then be linked to the King system where van den Berg Holding works with.
Linking to King
Vicus was given complete freedom to place an acceptable webshop online at their own discretion. By keeping the webshop and link as standard as possible, a webshop could be realized within a short time. No special functionalities were added. The Magento webshop software was installed and set up as-is. This way, Vicus could meet the customer's wish to put everything online as soon as possible.
The VOSBA e-solutions middleware provides stable links between web shops, CRM systems and back office systems. Together with the King dealer of van den Berg Holding we worked on a successful link. Through the link with King, the existing Articles including description and images are transferred to the webshop. The Dutch language was used as the basic language. The English translation had not yet been entered in King. As a result, the Dutch version of each product was visible on the English site. Adding the English language in King solved this immediately.
Results
Using Vicus' VOSBA middleware, a link has been made between the webshop and the King ERP system. This takes a lot of manual work out of our hands and leaves less room for error. Minicar-parts is still managed by Vicus for updates and upgrades. The new version of Magento has improved the site and made it faster.
