Together with CAD2M, Vicus chooses new form of warehouse management so that it is now an integral part of the operational work processes.
Need for more overview
CAD2M's inventory was maintained in a separate system. For this reason, there was no insight into a product's inventory when creating a sales order in Vtiger CRM. An entire delivery could be delayed because one of the ordered products would not reach the warehouse on time. In addition, there was no synchronization between the various separate systems. The challenge was clear. There had to be a better work process where various systems would communicate with each other.
Choosing the right course of action
Vicus worked with CAD2M to try out various scenarios in a pilot environment. CAD2M did this to get everyone on the same page internally. In this way it was possible to determine which working method suits CAD2M best.
Warehouse management within Vtiger CRM consists of 7 components:
- Warehouses
- Warehouse Transitions
- Issue Card
- Receipt Card
- Stock impact
- Stock results
- Delivery notes
With the Warehouse Management module of Vtiger CRM, CAD2M can already see from a sales order how many products are available. These can then be delivered. If they are not available then they can be ordered. It is also possible to see which products have already been delivered and whether they have already been invoiced. Based on this available information, CAD2M can make the right decisions.
All in one system
All the separate systems that were being used have become obsolete with the advent of the Vtiger CRM Warehouse Module. The Warehouse Management Module is integrated with all relevant Vtiger CRM modules such as sales orders, products and invoices. A major advantage of this is that an overview can be requested from each of these modules.
The Warehouse Management module within Vtiger CRM gives CAD2M a complete overview of expected incoming and outgoing goods. This allows their warehouse staff to work in the same system as the rest of the organization.
