The holidays are a great time to pause for a moment. 2025 was a year full of movement for Vicus: new insights, technological advances, intensive cooperation with customers and partners, and a special milestone. We would like to take you on a brief review of three main themes that characterized the past year.
1. Review & milestones
20 years of Vicus and strengthening our ecosystem
In 2025, we proudly celebrated 20 years of Vicus. Two decades of helping organizations organize their marketing, sales, service and e-commerce processes smarter. What started as e-business consultancy has grown into an integration and automation partner with in-depth knowledge of Magento, OpenMage, Vtiger CRM and middleware solutions such as VOSBA.
In addition, 2025 was a year in which collaborations were further deepened. Vicus became a Hyvä Bronze Partner, enabling us to contribute even better to fast, future-proof Magento front ends. We also once again saw recognition for Vtiger CRM, which was included in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for the seventh time - a confirmation of the strength and maturity of the platform we work with and implement for our customers every day.
These milestones underscore what Vicus stands for: continuous improvement, choosing open technology and building sustainable solutions together with customers.
2. Trends & developments
AI, security and continuity central
2025 clearly showed that technology is not an end in itself, but a means to remain agile and safe. Artificial intelligence played an increasing role in this. Not as hype, but as an accelerator of processes - think smarter content, better data enrichment and more efficient customer interaction within Magento and CRM environments.
At the same time, security remained a major concern. Last year we actively informed customers about Magento security patches, new attack vectors and stricter requirements around email security (as with Microsoft). Also within Vtiger CRM, the focus was on regular updates, bug fixes and stability.
Our message remained consistent: by timely patching, upgrading and setting up processes properly, you prevent risks and ensure continuity - especially in an increasingly complex digital landscape.
3. Practical insights
From strategy to concrete improvements
In addition to news and trends, we shared a lot of practical knowledge in 2025. In blogs and news articles, we addressed topics such as:
