Your focus is on collaboration with your customers and suppliers.
Your customers will want orders, invoices and payments paperless. That's why we create webshops, online catalogs and implement a crm system that is available on desktop, tablets and mobile.
Vicus believes in collaboration, in the power of sharing and growing together. We have a strong network of software developers, software suppliers, partners and, for example, Internet marketers and web agencies.
Together we realize working systems resulting in satisfied customers!
We recommend open source software, because with open source you get the most return from your ICT systems.

After starting in the attic rooms, we open on s office at Stationsplein 325 in Amersfoort.
After an extensive selection process in which we examine various available open source packages, Vtiger CRM emerges as the winner.
More and more customers have a need for integration. After a number of evenings and nights of work, the VOSBA integration framework was finally created. VOSBA is still the basis for many of the integrations we perform.
With the growing need for online sales and professionalization of the e-commerce field, more and more derivatives of Oscommerce are coming. We select Zen Cart and build many web shops with it.
Shareholders pay a significant contribution.
With the move to Amsterdamseweg 16 in Amersfoort, we will have the space to hire more staff and access to a meeting and presentation room.
Meanwhile, many customers are already using the links with King. In 2009, this was innovative and Vicus was one of the first to offer a link via middleware. This still enables us to put a project online relatively quickly. In the meantime, we have realized many linking projects with King.
With this injection, marking in particular will be set up more professionally.
After the link between King and Magento, there were also King customers with a need for a CRM system. Reason enough to also realize this link.
The VOSBA integration framework is getting high marks. The international ict-architects association iCMG nominates the VOSBA framework in no less than 5 categories.
The announcement that Magento is to be replaced by a completely new version has quite a bit of work to do. It requires training and adjustment of work processes.
The international it-architects association iCMG awarded us the Future-IT award for our 360 degree customer insight architecture. For this we had many conversations, created documentation and conducted interviews with several of our customers.
With the move to the Vanadiumweg in Amersfoort, we are taking another step forward. A building with its own entrance. We may also give it our own look.
After many years of working with various hosting companies, we have set up specialized hosting for Magento and Vtiger CRM for selected clients.
Because we have more and more customers in all parts of the Netherlands, we could not resist the opportunity to take over a branch in Wierden. This will give us better geographical coverage on the one hand and, on the other, extra opportunities to attract staff.
Now that Adobe has finally decided to stop updates, Vicus offers an alternative at least until July 2029. Together with MageOne and TrustGuard, we offer a subscription to keep Magento 1 web shops safe and up-to-date.
Because of the availability of new underlying technologies and the need for smarter processing, it was time for a major upgrade.
Now that Adobe / Magento has tight schedules for updates (4x per year) more and more of our customers are switching to this subscription model. Not mandatory; but it makes life a lot easier (and cheaper) for all of us.
Vicus Oost moves from Wierden to Almelo and settles in the Dreesz business center at Brugstraat 9-13. This new location is very complete with facilities such as a coffee bar, lunch area and a meeting room where we are happy to welcome you for a cup of coffee.
Following VOSBA's technology update, it has become easier to add new links. This link with Oculus is the one that bites the bullet.
With the acquisition of Muis by King, we also immediately expand our link so that we can also support these customers of King Software.
As one of the few Magento service providers, Vicus has a nice pension plan through Nationale Nederlanden including WIA gap coverage.
The name "Vicus" has symbolic meaning
Near a castellum (Roman fortress), a camp village called 'Vicus' grew. We see your company taking a combative stance in the marketplace in analogy to the Roman Cohort.
The Camp Village symbolizes the use of our expertise in the areas we understand; in support of your mission.
The Latin 'Vicus' can be translated as 'village', 'district', 'residential community', 'homestead' or even 'street'. Many of the camp villages grew into our current villages and towns where corruptions of the word 'Vicus' (such as 'Wijck') are often found in the place name.

Camp village symbolizes role of Vicus
Roman soldiers were not allowed to marry. Therefore, civilian communities grew in the Castelli area.
Such a "Camp Village" or "Vicus" named community had a nurturing function and thus often consisted of stores, inns and houses.
Cohort symbolizes your business
In the time of the Romans (around 275), there were many Castelli in the Netherlands - especially along the Rhine. A Castellum housed an army division, a cohort (about 500 men).
We see your company taking a combative stance in the marketplace in analogy to the Roman Cohort.
