Why should I have a Vtiger update or upgrade? It works just fine as it is, right?

A question we often get when we advise a customer to consider an update to the latest version of Vtiger CRM or to extend Vtiger with useful additional features.

  • Update: new version with minor improvements (often called bug-fix or minor release) to improve the quality of the existing release.
  • Upgrade: new version (often called major release), often contains additional functionality.
  • Extend: adding additional functionality and or modules beyond the standard release. This can be done with add-ons (also called extensions, plug-ins or installable modules).
